Live Dock Weather App Reviews

I tried it several times, but if never finds the local weather. A waste of 99c.

Just updated this app, and now when I try to open it, it just spins and spins and doesnt open. Any ideas for what to do? Now when I try to reopen it, it just quits unexpectedly over and over.

This developer is coming out with updates, bug fixes about every month. The app is very well done. It took me a little bit at first to find the weather in my city, but since then I have loved every minute of this app. Keep up the great work.

App looks great and works well when it is functioning. The problem is that it crashes several times a day.

What is the point of a weather app if it only shows you the weather from 8 hours ago? It does not update to current weather even on manual refresh. Raj Kumar Shaw - You need to fix this or make the app free while you test it out.

I like having the weather icon on my mac and it looks so nice just like the clock app that iLifeTouch has made. Thanks!!

I downloaded this program onto my brand new MacBook Pro, and it couldnt locate the correct city. After a system restart, it wouldnt load at all. Not an impressive start for a new Mac user.

Unclear were program is getting weather information, but its over 10 degrees off here in San Francisco. Need better weather data source

The application does what it says it will do and puts a temperature reading and current weather animation on your dock, in your menu bar, or both. Areas for Improvement: - Clicking on the dock icon should bring up the "more" view instead of the standard list of cities, same for the popup bubble from the menu bar - Clicking on the dock icon should bring up a "bubble" similar to the behavior of the menu bar (and also should popup a bubble for the "more" view) - Grabs the wrong location from your computer - Setting location is unnecessarily difficult (wont grab from zip code) - Sometimes fails to load weather

This is the WORSE app in the history of weather apps. I can hardly wait for a Weather Channel app for my mac. This app keeps reverting to some backwater town. Finally, I am shipping this junk to TRASH where all garbage should go.

I thought that you could choose between the widget or just the icon on the dock. While it looks pretty, its redundant to have two weather indicators on the screen. Please allow us to keep the widget off the screen and just have the dock icon with the weather on it.

Not a bad little weather app but, as others have noted here, it needs alot of work. The most disappointing thing about Live Dock Weather is that it CRASHES CONSTANTLY for no aparent reason. I continue to use it, but Id really like to see the crashes fixed as a priority. The other fixes are secondary to this, but still necessary. What concerns me the most is that I see no effort at all by the author to address the apps instability.

I like the interface and the layout, but I dont know where they get their forecast from - frequently way off base from other forecasts. Example: Live Dock Weather is calling for 108 degrees this Thursday (is that even possible in the Midwest?), while the Weather Channel app is forecasting 100 degrees. The original ofrecast of 108 was later changed about a day later (to 104), Weather Channel still at 100. App crashes a lot, no biggie - just restart.

I really like this app, but it crashes at least every other day! Whats up with that???

What a waste of money. The temp is now 97 degrees in Milwaukee and "Live Dock Weather" is reporting 80 degrees. I need a program that is more accurate than this. Any ideas???

Plenty of eye candy, which would be useful if the application worked. The temperatures are grossly off (by as much as 10 degrees). In addition, when you try to add cities, many times the program gets zip codes confused with cities that are not even in the same state. The program as sold leaves a lot to be desired.

The 5 day forecast is predicting high temps that are not accurate for the locations selected. Where is this data coming from? It also is predicting snow on those low temp days that is completely not so. The current temperature as reported by the weather bureau’s current conditions is also not accurate. The graphical presentation is superior to other weather apps I have (and I have most of them).

I prefer this weather app over all the other mac weather apps I have. The layout, functionality and user friendliness is superb. The weather forecasting is top notch as well.

Too many bugs. Wont open and now just leaves a swirl of a circle indicating that it is trying to load. Too late for a refund?
