Live Dock Weather App Reviews

I would love to see a link or a button to press for radar - that’s really the only thing missing from this app. I like that it is available on the desktop and also in the menu bar. Please put radar functionality into the app and you’ll have a perfect weather app. Thanks

Actually, a complicated instruction manual might have been a bit handy, but I did figure it out. I just wanted a simple weather display I could put in the lower right corner of my screen. It’s amazing how many weather programs do not offer such a simple feature. But I also like that I can get a more complex weather view just by clicking a button. I also compared it to various weather sites and found it to be pretty accurate. Works for me!

With this new version (3.3), for some reason the icon sitting in the dock no longer works properly. It is searching but does not update as it did befoe. Please fix!

Since this latest update, the two features I like most about this, over other apps, no longer work. The status bar icon and the desktop widget no longer work. Very disappointed. Makes me want…even need to get something else.

Great app. I love having the weather info on my dock. A previous update broke the dock info from being displayed but they fixed it within a couple of weeks and it’s back in business. I definitely recommend this app.

After asking and never resolving my location I entered my zip code. It came back with Plymouth, California which is about 2,000 miles away. I tried another city, Austin, TX, and it came back with Austin, Arkansas. ???

Like the graphics and the menu bar info. Need to restart computer after installation to get it working properly. A little ambiguous regarding location of reporting weather stations. Use city (area?) with state abbreviation and then pick. It would be nice to have more definitive information for reporting station, GPS co-ordinates? Click on the info graphic and it has all the necesary and interesting stuff. Great value for $0.99.

In addition to the comments others have made, I add these: the menu bar temperature and icon are difficult to read because they overlap, and the color is a washed-out gray while the font is not Mac standard. Also, we don’t need to see the decimal place and scale (i.e., 45.7°F as opposed to 46°).

When it works, its good. When it crashes, its cr@p. Unfortunatley, every time it launches - it crashes Update: Its still crashes, therefore its still cr@p. Dont spend your money on this, as its obvious that the developer no longer cares. Update: Still worthless. I’ve moved on to Weather Guru, much nicer app that actually works!
