Live Dock Weather App Reviews

Nice look and feel but I have major bugs with it. The widget now does not show the data and the big window has a combination of two time zones. If the bugs go and there are just a few more appearance options this will be a great app.

Crashes everytiùe i try to add a city… So i have only two cities, and i need more… :(

I installed the app yesterday and it still has not refreshed. Must quit the app and reopen to get up-to-date weather. SUCKS !!

Not impressed at all. Program doesnt display all values in Metric, even when selected.

I really wanted to have a dynamic weather dock application and this app does the job exactly the way I want it. It has beautiful interface, simple, non obstructive, fast and always there. No need to open a window to have current weather. But you want more: with a simple click of the dock icon we can get very detailed information. For those who prefer to always have lots of info, we can easily set it to display a scalable desktop window along with the dock icon. If Growl is installed, we can have it so “say” the current conditions at specified intervals; that’s nice! I had no problem getting my local weather and some international sites I was curious about. Support is excellent: they even implemented a suggestion I made in their very next update!

The app seems faster and smoother. Weather updates very smoothly. Good job and thanks for listening.

Its an ok application to use but it doesnt always update sometimes. About 20 mins ago...while it was still light outside (currently almost to sunset as of now), it was showing the moon as if it was already night. I think there is a glitche or bug in this application that needs to get sorted out. Aside from that, it was pretty good to have but I dont want to have to keep clicking the refresh everytime I get on the computer each morning after my iMac wakes up from sleeping. I took it off anyways and going to stick with WeatherEye.

I love that the developer listened to the previous comments; Now the celcius function works fine; I love the menubar badge. I am wondering if you consider using a round value e.g. 2 Degrees rather than 1.9 or 2.2. Nice work, however.

I had a few issues with this update. It turns out that it was me just getting used to a couple of the features. Nevertheless, they addressed my issue the same day and set up a Skype call with the developer to help me. Awesome support!!! Great app!

Love the app, few little things I would change, could do without the decimal point in the temperature, maybe make it an option for people that do like it. Need some option for changing the colour of the weather that stays on the desktop all the time, not a fan of the blue, would rather a smoked glass that would go with everything better (like Apples dashboard widget.) Other than that stuff its a great app and I look forward to future updates!

Application crashes every day. Tried to go to the forum on the company homepage but theres a 404 error. Currently, I know that I will have the app crash and require relaunch every day. Less than ideal.

Environment Canada reports 0° C and snow, while this app reports +4.2° C and rain (for Nanaimo, BC) currently. The app is wrong now and consistently so. It has so far not been accurate even once. For other, larger centres nearby (Vancouver, for instance) it is correct. Is it just ‘guessing’ for smaller places? It is clearly not a reliable weather app. Money wasted as far as I’m concerned.

This is a beautifull app, but this take forever to load. And I cant get the wind speed in km/h. I am used to the metric system so I find it confusing to just use miles / hour. Also a french traduction would be nice.

i attempted to load 2 canadian locations into the app. it guessed the correct location to add to the list based on postal code and also to use your current location but then lists 2 american cities by the same name instead of the correct canadian location miles from where i am.

This app was good they diod the update and wont work on my new iMac at all. I went with something else, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

Bought this app today,the graphic interface looked just like what i was looking for. BUT! 1) very slow data collection when adding a new city! Driving me mad, 2) The app failed to collect weather data from my city,and i live in a 3d biggest city in Sweden. 3) Buggy app launch at the start. Needs reworking! Regret having spent the money.

Running on the Macbook Air, This app is GREAT. acurate and pleasing to use. Uses little memory and is FILLED with weather information. Highly reccommended.
